I Won My Very 1st Giveaway

I super excited to say that I finally won my first blog giveaway at http://thedavisfamilynwa.blogspot.com/ .  I almost didn't enter because I never win anything or alot of times its says that its only open to US residents.  When I saw my name I couldn't believe it and had to check for myself.   It was true .  Yippy yeah.  I finally won something and did the victory dance.  I cannot wait to recieve this wonderful prize.  Go to the blog and scroll down to giveaway and you will see this wonderful vinyal decorative verse that I won.  I will try and post a picture later.

O where O where Have I Been?

First of all Happy New year.  Glad to heaer that you all had a great christmas.  We had a wonderful and relaxing christmas.  We pretty much stayed at home.  It was a lovely time .  Watching the kids play with there new stuff and having hubby home.  It totally beats the craziness that christmas can be.  We already talked that we enjoyed it so much that lets do it a gain this year. Let me explain.  We took a break from going to all the extended family things.  More so mine.  Just way too many people and kids and being in a shop or a hall isn't alot of fun .  It was nice to just be a family and not losing to much of the kids schedules .  My in laws all came here for christmas.  After the holidays where done I do admit after being so laid back and hanging it made it hard to get back into the rotinue of things like homeschooling as well as saying goodbye to the hubby.

WE rang the new years at home just as a family and the next day celebrated with friends before they left for the honeymoon.  They got married in June .  It was such a gorgeous ceremony.  Hubby was the best man.  But they decided that they where going to take there honeymoon in January when it was cold.  This couple has blessed us in many of ways and the kids have really gotten to love them.  Each year they throw a big Canada Day celbration at there house.  The parade goes by there place. 


On the 5th my baby turned 2 so hard to believe .  Where does time go.  Kind of sad. 


My oldest is growing up as well in the last 2 weeks she has lost her 2 bottom front teeth.  Seems like yesterday she was only getting them.

I want to start organzing and so forth but just haven't gotten around to it.  When I get the chance I will post some pics.  Yesterday we spent the day making and freezing meals.  AS dear hubby is an accountant and soon will be busy with tax season.  Not or favourite part of the year by any means.

Merry Christmas and Family Photo

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Our holidays begin tomorrow.  AS hubby finishes work today and since we homeschool and Dady working we decided that we go righ up till today . That way we will hopefuly work towards being done earlier when the weather is warmer.  We have done now a whole half years worth of school.  So here is the family photo that was taken in the forset at my parents at thanksgiving.Being Canadian we have thanksgiving in October.
  The one that i told you that was low resoultion so we couldn't print to make a photo card.

I'm linking up with Faith at http://www.walkwithmebyfaith.com/.  My orginal plan was to put our family photo on the front, or do a photo card but it turns out that when the picture along with many others the camera was on the wrong setting so it was in a low resoultion.  So this is what I came up with.  Its not what I had planned our imagined but I'm very happy with the way that our christmas card turned out.

State of Emergancy Where I live.

After snow and much wind and blowing since Sunday they have called a state of emergancy where I live. They have brought in the miltary to see what they can do. The freeways are closed many have been stranded there, and others have been taking shelter at truck stops and local Tim Horton's and then being bused to halls that have opened up as shelters.  Friends that live near by have also taken stranded people in.


I know that these pics are from 2007 but that is pretty much what it looks like outside and its cold and when we are being advised to stay home , i think its best that I stay inside where its warm with my 3 little kids.  Thankfully we haven't lost are power and that hubby has been able to get home from work. 



It certainly is a winter wonderland out there.
